TRAINING

It starts with a spark.

What do leadership teams and high school students have in common? A burning desire to succeed. An open mind and heart. A deep desire to do something that endures - to create a thriving environment to live in.

We know it can feel impossible to pivot your business toward sustainable strategies, especially at a time of great uncertainty and change globally, which is why we offer assessment tools for you and your team, and just the right amount of inspiration to get you started. (Take a peek inside one of our high school workshops)

Let us inspire you.

Finally, clarity

A great intention is the starting point - but how do you get your team mobilised around the change you are trying to create? How do you demystify sustainable practices so that you have a clear goal and roadmap?

Free Assessment

We start with a free, 30 minute one-on-one assessment call with Giselle Carr. We’ll open the discussion around what you’re trying to accomplish and what method will likely get you there and what your team will need.

Team Workshop

Next, we develop a presentation-style workshop to get your team energised and ready to ideate strategies that benefit you and the environment - develop clarity around the impact you are passionate about creating.

  • First, let’s start off with a free one-on-one assessment call to decide which life-centered design tool is the right fit for you:

    • Biomimicry - emulating nature’s genius in form, function and strategy to develop a new technology, or simply to help your organisation function better (where are there opportunities to decrease carbon footprint? how can we function like an ecosystem?)

    • Massive Change - looking deeply at systems such as cities, organisations and governments, this framework uses design to drive systemic change that builds on itself over time (unprecedented times call for courageous, everyday actions)

  • Next, we will customise a workshop-style presentation for your team, at any size (note that this event would be virtual, and we’ve worked with teams anywhere from 5-500 participants)

    • This is an opportunity to dive a little deeper, get to know the framework and how it has benefited other organisations like yours, as well as open a dialogue in your team about how it can be used in your company and market

Understanding Life-Centered Design

We offer presentation style workshops and advisory on Biomimicry and Massive Change specifically - two ways of approaching challenges that embrace the complexity of today’s market, and rise to the challenge of creating futures that allow nature and human beings to prosper together.

Biomimicry

Biomimicry is the emulation of nature’s form, function or system. By looking deep into Nature, we can see interconnected, networked systems and emulate strategies that have endured over billions of years; at the same time, we reconnect with ourselves and our home on Earth. Biomimicry is the antidote to despair about climate change.

Massive Change

Pioneered by Canadian Designer, Bruce Mau, Massive Change is not so much about the world of design but about the design of the world. We take you through the Incomplete Manifesto for Change, to gain an understanding of how these principles help you to unleash creativity and sustainable practices within your business and industry.
